Some (Old)Unreal community members made a fix to make the Unreal Anthology Boxset version of Unreal netcompatible again. Also installers for the OldunrealMultimediaPatches (OMP) were added. You can find them in the download section.
More details can be found in the forums.

Big news everyone we thought we would put some cheer up for xmas for everyone. Hope you like it please comment on it.
We hope to have the downloads up very soon I know how everyone has missed the downloads a lot. So I will keep you posted about that ok. And about the servers hope to have 1 or 2 up for xmas so we can have some fun.

Unreal server security: Nepthys 1.0 final released

Winged Unicorn and Zora released their second Unreal server security tool Nepthys. Nepthys is a server-side mod able to detect and automatically block DoS and DDoS attacks, with a couple of other neat features. Nepthys builds forth on the technology of Kerberos. It protects Unreal servers from many attacks like (distributed) repetitive join/query attacks, zombie bug attacks and fixes several bugs in the Unreal server network code. Nepthys also logs IP addresses and allows moderators to kick or ban players who cause problems. Nepthys is the first tool that is able to balance the server bandwidth between players and downloaders. In this way downloaders never have to cause any lag.

Seems a small bug was missed during some testing of the new DZMapM that was released the other day. Zombie has fixed the bug and updated it to v.2.01, please download the latest version:
Fixed a minor bug with TriggeredDeath actors in a couple maps while 'MonsterKillRequirement' mode was enabled.

As you all know, Halloween is a time to get candy and other treats. Well, Zombie decided to give us all an Unreal treat, he released the latest version of DZMapMv.2.0. New in this version:
The mutator now ONLY works as a true mutator. No more Global serveractor run mode. This was neccessary to optimize some of the routines.
Added RTNP map fixes (aka. Previously RTNPMute - RTNP Fix Mute). This makes normal RTNP maps playable online without needing re-released fixed maps (ONLY for version 226Gold).
Itemreplacer and DropWhenKilled can be set to only replace/change at level start rather then continuously. (bLevelStartOnly option)
ItemReplacer now has the options 'ActionOnEvery' and 'ActionMaxNumber'. If you've ever used WMutate from }TCP{Wolf then you should already know how that works, otherwise read the packaged readme.
Added Special optional 'Monster Kill Requirement' mode. Players must kill more then 80% of the total monsters in the level before the end is enabled. Also includes a 'MKRBackupEndMinutes' timer in case the 80% cannot be met within reasonable time.
Added a MonsterSpawner as a brand new feature. Users can control how many monsters spawn at level startup, how fast they respawn, random spawns from list, and more. (ReadMe for details)
Better error logging and replacing internal unreal actors with other internal actors. This simplifies replacing when the ReplaceWithClass actor comes from the normal 'Unreali' or 'UnrealShare' packages.
LevelRecycle option removed. New custom MapSequence configuration now replaces it.
Fixed an infamous well-known native Unreal bug caused from spawning carcasses that results in a server crash (250 call CheckReplacment 0000 Infinite recursion).
Configurable psInventory (Pawn Spawn Inventory) classes. Spawn pawns from a host pawn after death. Users assign the psInventory classes to monster pawns using the PawnDWKChanger.

Asgard has released a new mutator that some of us have been waiting and asking for. Well, wait no more, it's here:
MonsterSpawn is a Mutator designed to add just about any type of Monster to just about any type of Unreal 1 or Unreal Tournament type game.
Features include adding Modded Monsters or Standard Unreal Monsters. Monsters can be set to respawn after the amount of time you choose, starting a new wave of monster attacks. Up to 25 monsters at a time of your choice can be added to any map of a possible 60 random choices from 3 monster lists. Monsters always Spawn in random places. You make your own lists or comes with lists pre-configured.
Add monsters to CTF, DM type games, Co-op etc. Try holding onto that flag with a bunch of Skaarj chasing you down, or adding new or Extra monsters to co-op style game etc

Newunreal Server Update

Newunreal servers will be up in 8 days time & counting I hope LoL. From all the testing done you will all be getting a pretty good ping with 0% pl & no lag at all.(Even Gamers in Europe) Newunreal will really have some good servers when all setup to really bring fun back into gaming
I Will keep everyone informed on whats going on if anyone has any questions feel free to post in forum.

Hi Guys/Girls,
Just found out that newunreal servers should be up very soon in the new data centre. The data centre has had problems though first off. The network card in the server does not seem to be working which they will fix. Also having firewall problems & its possable the last data centre messed up the O/S. Dont quote me on this but maybe the server will be back up within the next day or so unless other problems are found. The server may have to be shipped back to the owner of newunreal to be formated if that is the case will take about a week to get all of that done & back to the data centre. Anyway when the server is finaly going online its going to be connected to a 100mbit port so no problems with huge downloads lagging the server at all

The NewUnreal server has been successfully recovered. Illya was forced to ship it to the new center by CI Host. It is awaiting setup and should be ready soon!
